Our Guiding Principles Our Mission remains focused on making health care easier, so life can be better. To continue that focus, we will, within the limits of federal and state laws, continue to: • Dedicate ourselves to Banner’s Here for Everyone culture • Show zero tolerance for hate speech or discrimination • Respect scientific discovery and evidence-based medicine • Focus on and support women’s health care needs • Honor the patient-physician relationship Our Strategy Banner’s culture envisions a workplace where belonging and trust are celebrated as cornerstones for team member growth and satisfaction. As an inclusive culture , we aim to spotlight the varying experiences and backgrounds of all our team members through participation and allyship. Because we know, when everyone belongs, life is better .
When everyone belongs, life is better. Banner’s employee culture strategy centers on four pillars : educate , engage , inspire and connect .
Educate Our foundation of programs, events and team member resources designed to educate our colleagues about our vision to create a culture of trust and belonging. Our programs are aligned to organizational goals such as, onboarding, recruiting, development and team member engagement. Engage TMRGs engage team members to come together to share personal stories and insights about their experiences as people from underrepresented groups with their allies and each other. These voluntary, inclusive groups are led by team members, for team members.
Inspire We inspire team members to engage with their colleagues through various communications and events. Our channels include our Viva Engage site, Banner Buzz articles as well as a refreshed newsletter, Culture Connect. While our focus is primarily internal, this engagement extends to the communities we live in and serve. Inspire We value our connection with the communities we serve, groups and entities supporting people from marginalized groups and our Banner partners who promote inclusion. This connection happens primarily through an array of cultural and historical internal and external events.
