I N G R E D I E N T S ´ 1/2 lb. small red potatoes ´ 1 small onion, chopped
STEPS 1. Cut up the brats. 2. Drain the sauerkraut. 3. Slice the bacon into one-inch pieces. Brown them in a skillet on the stove top. Drain on a paper towel. 4. Scrub the potatoes and cut in 1/4 inch slices. 5. Chop up the onion.
6. Mix the vinegar, water, sugar, celery seed, salt and flour in a small bowl; mix until there are no lumps. Add this to the slow cooker, stir until this mixture thickens. Cook on high for five minutes. 7. Add the potatoes and onion to the crock pot into the vinegar mixture; also add the bacon at this time. Gently stir this together. 8. Add the brats and the sauerkraut. 9. Turn to low and cook for four to six hours making sure the brats and potatoes are fully cooked.
